Apprenticeships reform: ISE Employer Readiness Toolkit

A concise checklist and question bank for employers navigating revised apprenticeship assessment arrangements in England.

Apprenticeship assessment is moving away from a model in which assessment is concentrated at the end of the programme. Reformed arrangements allow assessment at appropriate points during the apprenticeship. Revised assessment plans are being introduced standard by standard, so employers may need to operate old and new arrangements at the same time.

Use this toolkit to identify affected standards and cohorts, agree responsibilities with providers and awarding organisations, prepare managers and apprentices, and track implementation.
