Thank you for visiting the ISE website. This privacy and website policy tells you how we use personal information collected by the ISE as part of membership and during your visit to this site. Please read this policy before using the site or submitting any personal information. By being an ISE member and/or using the site you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. These practices may be changed, but any changes will be posted and changes will only apply to future activities and information, not applied retroactively. You are encouraged to review the privacy policy whenever you visit the site to make sure that you understand how any personal information you provide will be used.

1. Privacy commitment

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy online and have developed this privacy policy to deal with issues which may concern you. Please read this policy to understand how your personal information will be treated. This policy may change from time to time so please check it periodically. 2. Use of Personal Information

The details which you provide about yourself and any information which identifies you (such as your name, address, email address) ("personal information") will be collected by us when you register to use the site, when you submit such information directly by filling in an online form, and when you browse, where cookies may be used.

Your personal information is kept secure. Only authorised employees, the ISE Board and other senior members, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential, and require it for a specific job/purpose) have access to this information. Personal information collected by ISE about its users is used internally for the following reasons: to process payment, register you for the product/service of your choice, update you when required of any changes to your membership or planned products/services, provide you with the most appropriate content for your interests, determination of those areas, features and services that are used and valued the most, and to determine participation in the products and services provided by ISE, including on our website.

If you are a member of an ISE committee or steering/working group, your name and organisation may be published on the site. If you would prefer this not to be the case, you can ask ISE to remove your details by email Email not available without JavaScript.

Upon cancellation, ISE will keep details of the member organisation and individual contacts on file for a period of 24 months. This will facilitate rejoining ISE as a member, and allow for analysis of data to improve our products and services. ISE may contact the member organisation or any individuals during this period. If you wish to have your personal information or that of the member organisation removed upon cancellation, you can email Email not available without JavaScript.

3. Protection of Information

We will not pass on your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law or by a regulatory or government authority to do so. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that you remain anonymous even though we include your IP address in our aggregate information. However, we can and will attempt to use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our terms and conditions, or to protect our services and other users.

ISE will never sell, trade, rent, exchange or otherwise share your personal information with any other person, company or organisation.

We cannot guarantee the security of data you disclose online and you accept that the Internet is not completely secure and agree that we shall not liable for unauthorised use, distribution or destruction of your personal information.

5. Cookies

Two types of cookies are used on the ISE website. Session cookies are cookies that allow ISE to access data that pertains specifically to the user’s web session. This information is only available during that session. Session cookies are required to browse the site and do not contain any personal or user information. A "persistent” cookie is also used when the member selects the "Remember Me" option when logging in. It is an optional cookie that is used to remember the user’s session the next time they visit the site. These cookies also do not contain any personal or user information that can be used to identify the member.

6. Emails and newsletters

If you opt-in we will send you emails and mailings from us about our products or services. All emails and newsletters from ISE allow you opt out of further mailings. Emails regarding transactional information about your membership (eg renewal dates, finance matters, AGM and other formal notifications) will not have an option for members to opt out.

7. Correcting/Updating Personal Information

If your personal information changes we will endeavour to correct, update or remove the personal information provided to us as speedily as possible. You are encouraged to change the information yourself in the secure profile section of the site.

8. Users Under 18

If you are under 18, please ensure that you obtain your parent/guardian's consent beforehand whenever you provide personal information to the website. Users without such consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.

9. Governing Law

This privacy policy forms part of our Website Terms. Any dispute or claim arising out of this policy and the use of your personal information will be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any such dispute or claim.

Information published on the ISE website is provided for the use of its visitors and you are advised that, although care has been taken to ensure technical and factual accuracy, some errors may occur. No guarantee is given of the accuracy or completeness of information on these pages. Please be aware that ISE may alter the information on its website from time to time.

No endorsement or approval of any third parties or their advice, opinions, information, products or services is expressed or implied by any information.

Links/Software

Links from or to website outside the ISE website are meant for convenience only. ISE does not review, endorse, approve or control, and is not responsible for any sites linked from or to the ISE website, the content of those sites, the third parties named therein, or their products and services. Linking to any other site is at your sole risk and ISE will not be responsible or liable for any damages in connection with linking. Links to downloadable software sites are for convenience only and ISE is not responsible or liable for any difficulties or consequences associated with downloading the software. Use of any downloaded software is governed by the terms of the license agreement, if any, which accompanies or is provided with the software.

Payment for Products & Services

Where payment is required for any of the ISE’s products and/or services acceptable methods of payment consist of: cash, personal cheque with bankers card, all major credit/debit cards, bankers draft or BACS transfer. All credit cards will be processed in GBP at the time of payment. ISE is not responsible for any fees, charges, exchange rates or additional charges levied by individual financial institutions or credit card companies. Our terms are payment in full within thirty days for all services other than membership, and payment in full within sixty days for membership. All goods remain the property of the Institute until paid for in full.

Returned cheques will incur a £25 charge to cover banking fees and administrative costs. In an instance of a second returned cheque, the Institute reserves the right to terminate the arrangement and may insist on cash transactions only for future purchases. In such circumstances all bookings and/or transactions and agreements entered into will cease with immediate effect until such a time as any and all outstanding monies are recovered in full.
