Apprenticeships Conference Planning and Review Group

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Apprenticeships Conference Planning and Review Group.

The ISE Conference Content Planning & Review Group is a member-led advisory group that will help shape the content of the ISE Apprenticeships Conference taking place on 24 February 2027. The role of the group is to ensure the conference programme is relevant, high-quality, evidence-based and aligned with the needs of ISE members.

For this group we need members with apprenticeship knowledge and experience in either or both of attracting and recruiting apprentices or of delivering apprenticeship programmes.

WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?

The core work of the group will require around 10-12 hours of work over a 6-month period from September 2026 through to February 2027. The main activity is in setting the themes and focus of the conference; review and evaluation of the submissions; and a final review session to finalise the conference content.

In summary the dates that you must be able to commit to, to ensure valuation quality and continuity, are:

1. Conference theme and content planning session
16 September 2026, 09:00-10:30 (90 minutes)
The group will discuss and agree the key themes and priorities for the conference. These will form the basis of the call for content submissions.

2. Content review and evaluation period
2-20 November 2026
Each planning group member will be allocated a number of submissions, typically around 8-10, to review independently.
As a guide, each submission usually takes approximately 20-30 minutes to evaluate.

3. Final review and programme selection meeting
1 December 2026, 09:00-10:30 (90 minutes)
This is the most important meeting in the process. During this session you will review recommendations, agree final content selections, and shape the conference programme.

Please review the executive summary and complete the below form to express your interest by Friday 11 September.
