ISE and the School of Life webinar

In the early stages of a career, we are taught how to do things; how to structure a presentation, join a meeting or hit a deadline. But what we are rarely shown is how to understand ourselves: how to notice the emotional patterns that shape our behaviour, recognise what unsettles us, and interpret the quieter voices that influence how we relate to others.

And yet, in today’s hybrid, high-speed workplaces, this crucial skill is often missing. Informal feedback is fading. Conflict is harder to read. And many managers are under-equipped to help young professionals develop the reflective insight they need to grow.

Levels of anxiety, loneliness and emotional strain among young adults are at record highs. As new professionals arrive in the workplace, they bring with them immense potential, but also a fragile relationship with their inner lives. In such a climate, self-awareness isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity.

This webinar from The School of Life at Work explores why self-awareness should be the foundation of early career development, and how to teach it in a way that is practical, psychologically rich and emotionally intelligent.
