Gianina Harvey-Brewin is Dean of Continuing Education at the University of Roehampton, where she leads work on skills, employability, apprenticeships and lifelong learning. She has over a decade of experience in higher education and is passionate about creating opportunities for learners to thrive in an evolving labour market.

Beginning her career in employer engagement, Gianina has partnered with organisations of all sizes to design early careers programmes, strengthen recruitment and selection processes, and develop inclusive and accessible attraction strategies. She has also led the creation of sustainable talent pipelines through apprenticeships, placements and innovative employability initiatives.

Alongside her institutional role, Gianina contributes to national policy discussions on skills and lifelong learning, drawing on her work with the Department for Education’s LLE Readiness Group and her experience developing apprenticeship standards in partnership with industry. She is committed to building equitable pathways into work and shaping practices that reflect the diversity of today’s students and employers.

Gianina is also a mentor and coach, and enjoys supporting teams to succeed. Outside of work, she can often be found baking banana bread or in the gym as a competitive powerlifter.
