Season ahead – what might be different? What do we need to prepare for?

Year-round recruitment

It’s become increasingly common for early careers hiring to extend throughout the year. Our Student Recruitment Survey found 40% of employers take multiple intakes – up from 32%. We are looking for employers, suppliers and universities to share their experience and know-how, for example:

  • Why did you decide to take this approach and what’s the impact?
  • What is there to consider when switching to year-round recruitment?
  • Has keep-warm activity become king to remain competitive?
  • Is technology the solution to engaging students year-round?
  • What about working with educators - what's the best approach year-round?

Apprenticeships beyond school leavers

ISE’s Development Survey found 16% of alternative hires, such as ex-military, career-changers, and ex-offenders were enrolled on apprenticeship programmes. We are interested in case studies of employers who are taking this approach and advice for managing alternative cohorts alongside younger hires.

Managing roll off

ISE members got together to explore the challenges of managing graduate roll-off – from graduate to professional. Now we’d like to hear about the solutions. What’s working and what advice do you have? Could you offer a case study?
