ISE Talent Futures Summit: Rethinking Your Early Careers Strategy

10 November 2025, Kings Fund, West End - Central London

Call for Content

We invite our ISE member organisations to submit content for any of the session themes and wild card outlined below. These submissions will then form the breakout sessions of the conference.

To help members tackle the shift from early careers to emerging talent, the ISE is developing an immersive one-day summit that brings together early career leaders, talent solution providers, and careers professionals to explore the seismic shifts that are shaping the future of student recruitment and development.

The background to the conference is based on four core premises:

  • Demographic shifts are reshaping the who of the workforce’s distribution
  • Technology is redefining jobs and how we recruit and develop student talent
  • The skills required for success are changing faster than ever
  • Business priorities demand future-proof people strategies

We want to help delegates build forward-thinking strategies, engage and collaborate with other talent leaders and innovators, and understand the technology developments coming their way.

The conference is aimed at:

  • Early careers and recruitment and development professionals
  • University and college careers and skills specialists
  • Talent tech solution providers
  • Policy makers and workforce strategists

We are inviting submissions for conference sessions that are based on thinking at the forefront of future talent thinking, that engage delegates in a collaborative manner, and that equip delegates with knowledge and approaches that help them directly influence and develop strategies with their organisation’s leadership.

The key themes we have identified for content are:

  1. Adopting a future-focused emerging talent strategy that addresses the changing world of work, technological change, and demographic shifts
  2. Developing strategic workforce planning capabilities with skills-based hiring and development at their core
  3. Building early career approaches that integrate with reskilling and upskilling strategies, internal mobility programmes, retention strategies, and broader definitions of emerging talent.
  4. Developing optimal technology solutions for recruitment and attraction, skills identification and mapping, career development and agile working platforms

The conference will be based in one main room where delegates will be seated in a roundtable format. The conference programme will be a mix of keynotes and workshop-style sessions. Below is a draft agenda that demonstrates how the summit may be structured. The final content will shape the final agenda and format.
