There is no charge for submitting content for the conference.
Share your expertise and experiences on any of the 5 session themes below by submitting a proposal by close of play on Monday 15 September 2025.
The event is for HE professionals who focus on:
- Careers advice and guidance
- Employer engagement
- Employability and skills
- Degree apprenticeships
We are inviting submissions for conference sessions that are based on enhancing knowledge, that collaboratively engage delegates, and that equip delegates with approaches that help them directly influence enhanced employability of students. We are keen for a creative range of sessions, including panels, masterclass-type sessions, interactive workshops and others. We also welcome submissions from university collaborations, university/employer partnerships as well as from solution providers.
The key themes we have identified for content are:
1. Skills-Based Hiring & Curriculum Integration
As employers shift toward skills-first hiring, how are universities adapting? Share examples of embedding employability into the curriculum, co-designing learning outcomes with employers, and supporting students to articulate and evidence their skills in a competitive job market.
2. AI in Graduate Recruitment
AI is reshaping recruitment—from CV screening to video interviews and skills assessments. This theme invites insights into how AI is being adopted (or resisted) by employers and universities, and how institutions are preparing students to navigate AI-driven hiring ethically and effectively.
3. International Students & Graduate Employability
Universities continue to face pressure to support international students into meaningful UK employment. We welcome case studies and strategies that address challenges around post-study work visas, cultural integration, employer engagement, and inclusive hiring practices.
4. Data, Labour Market Insight (LMI) & Graduate Outcomes
How can data drive better decisions and outcomes? We invite proposals that use LMI, graduate destination data, or institutional analytics to inform employer engagement, curriculum design, or student support. Employer/university partnerships and transparent methodologies are especially welcome.
5. Sustainable Partnerships & Sector-Wide Collaboration
With increasing financial and operational pressures, how can universities and employers build partnerships that are resilient, scalable, and impactful? This theme explores innovative funding models, regional alliances, and cross-sector collaborations that strengthen the student talent pipeline.
6. Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in Employability
How are institutions and employers working to close equity gaps in graduate outcomes? We welcome submissions that explore inclusive careers education, targeted employer outreach, and initiatives that support underrepresented student groups into meaningful employment.
To submit an entry, you will be asked out outline the key content (500 words max) and the key benefits and takeaways (500 words max)
