About us:

About the role:

Do you want to build your project and partnership management skills? Have you worked in student mobility, international programmes, or careers and education in the past? If so, read on and apply to join our friendly, ambitious team as a Global Placements Adviser—supporting students to access life‑changing opportunities and making a real impact on their future success.

King’s Business School (KBS) has experienced a rapid and exciting period of growth in its first 8 years as a faculty. This is particularly true of the School’s Careers function and the placements provision.  Our Year in Industry programme is offered for all five of King’s Business School undergraduate programmes.

The KBS Careers team play a central role in supporting our students and this position engages with our undergraduate students who undertake a year-in-industry. This is an invaluable learning experience that students gain in their third year of study by working in a professional setting and growing their subject knowledge and professional skillset for their future. This position joins a fellow Global Placements Adviser, and supports students in navigating their Placement job search and provides advice and guidance in the form of workshops, 1:1s, events and resources. The role also supports students throughout their placement year and with their transition back into study.  Our Placements Advisors interact directly with placement hosts, facilitating regular feedback sessions, post-placement survey and first stage for escalating any issues during student’s placement experience.

The successful applicant will be part of a wider Placements provision that operates cross-faculty, and this individual will collaborate with Business School colleagues, including academics and Career team members, as well as Placement colleagues across the College. The role suits a highly organised individual who is an excellent communicator, is adaptable, personable and who wants to work in a student-oriented role and is comfortable with external/employer interaction and communication.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. This position requires a minimum of 40% on-campus presence at Bush House—equivalent to at least two days per week
