Board Responsibilities – Vice Chair, NRG & Building A Thriving Community

Laura is passionate about all things development related and is the Emerging Talent Development Lead at HSBC UK.  Laura thrives in roles where she can coach and lead others to achieve their dreams and potential.  Having undertaken many roles across the financial/banking sector, ranging from Leadership, Strategic Development, Learning & Training and HR Business Partnering, Laura’s current responsibilities enable her to work with Degree Apprentices, Interns, Placement Students and Graduates, and deliver programmes which give them the best start to their career.  

Having worked closely with the ISE for a number of years as the Development Sector Champion, Laura is excited to grow and connect the ISE membership community for the benefit of us all.  She has a proven track record in engagement and creating a fantastic lived experience for everyone from all communities and walks of life.  Becoming the inaugural winner of the Early Careers Professional of the Year Award at the National Graduate Recruitment Awards in 2021 was a humbling and proud moment in her career which highlights the care she has for everyone she works with.

In her spare time Laura works with charities supporting bereaved parents and those helping young people on their path to long term independence.
