Job Listing: Employer Relations & Insights Manager (UK)

As the operational lead for our Employer Relations, labour market insight and business development, the postholder will line manage a team of Advisers (each responsible for account management within specific industry ‘clusters) to maximise the range of career development opportunities provided to students, researchers and recent alumni. 

They will be constantly seeking new and innovative means to engage the widest range of employer engagement across King’s, conscious of a rapidly changing early careers labour market and developing long-term partnerships which drive opportunity development and activity both integrated and alongside the curriculum.

A key aspect of the role is the use of data and evaluation to inform practice. This includes bringing external labour market insights into discussions with institutional and faculty colleagues, as well as shaping a clear, evidence-based narrative around the distinctive capabilities of King’s students. The role also supports on evaluating activities, delivering workshops to audiences and promoting the adoption of effective practice across outputs and King’s academic programme development. 

The successful candidate will be a natural networker, who enjoys building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders (faculty and professional services colleagues) and a wide range of contacts across the corporate, public and third sectors. They will also be drawing on significant management and relationship development experience to manage and motivate their team in their own relationship management and opportunity development. They will be enthusiastic and opportunity-facing regarding internal and external collaboration and partnership, and agile in engaging and innovating with others to the benefit of our stakeholders.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) requiring regular engagement on campus,​ but we welcome applications from candidates seeking a flexible working pattern within necessary service operating norms. You will be offered an indefinite contract.

Some evening and weekend working will be necessary throughout the year.
