Information
Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs) are widely used in early careers recruitment, but they can create significant barriers for neurodivergent candidates, particularly those with autism. Their abstract, hypothetical, and socially nuanced format often conflicts with more literal thinking styles, leading some individuals to avoid applying altogether or to be screened out early, ultimately causing employers to miss out on valuable talent. For organisations committed to inclusion, it’s essential that assessment methods align with that goal.
This webinar explores the challenges SJTs present, featuring first-hand experiences from affected individuals and insights from Martin Kavanagh, Head of Assessment at Amberjack, on designing more inclusive alternatives. It also examines legal cases where SJTs were deemed discriminatory and showcases employers who have successfully redesigned their recruitment processes to be more neuro-inclusive.
Attendees will gain practical insights, strategies, and examples to help ensure recruitment tools and assessments are genuinely inclusive of neurodivergent candidates.
