This is a 6-month fixed term contract position. We’re looking for a passionate and organised Emerging Talent Recruiter to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in attracting, recruiting, and hiring apprentices, graduates, placement students, and interns into our business. Working closely with the hiring managers, educational institutions, and candidates, you’ll help deliver the most positive, inclusive, and professional recruitment experience possible at every stage of the recruitment cycle.
You’ll support the end-to-end recruitment process – from planning campaigns and reviewing applications to facilitating assessment centres and managing offers. You’ll manage candidates through each stage of the selection process to agreed timescales, ensuring a positive experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also help to build strong pipelines of future talent and contribute to projects that enhance the overall early careers experience.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing recruitment campaigns across our apprenticeship, graduate, placement, and intern programmes in the UK and internationally, ensuring quality, diversity, and a positive candidate experience at every stage.
- Working with the Emerging Talent Recruitment Lead to gather and confirm recruitment target numbers from the business.
- Managing Emerging Talent queries from internal colleagues and external candidates.
- Building strong working relationships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and senior stakeholders, providing expert advice and support throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Supporting the delivery of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across Emerging Talent recruitment.
- Keeping recruitment systems updated, screening applications, and progressing candidates through each stage with proactive, personalised communication, including delivering pre-assessment centre coaching calls to help candidates feel prepared and supported.
- Providing tailored support to candidates who share a disability or long-term health condition, coordinating reasonable adjustments and working with stakeholders to ensure an inclusive experience and smooth transition into the business.
- Planning and delivering a high volume of selection events – including interviews and virtual assessment centres – and managing candidate feedback and timely outcomes.
- Supporting the delivery of insight programmes and events designed to engage and inform potential future candidates.
- Maintaining regular contact with new joiners and returning placement students before they start, acting as a key point of contact and creating a positive pre-joiner experience to prevent declines and reneges.
- Managing onboarding for multiple intakes each year, ensuring a smooth transition into the business, and coordinating inductions for placement students.
- Building strong partnerships with universities, schools, colleges, job board partners, and industry peers, booking and attending careers fairs and events to promote our employer brand and attract a diverse pipeline of emerging talent.
- Supporting the design and delivery of marketing campaigns to enhance candidate attraction and engagement.
- Assisting with supplier management, helping to procure and coordinate external media and attraction services effectively and efficiently.
- Ensuring the right business representatives are selected, briefed, and supported to represent us at assessment centres and external events.
- Maintaining accurate recruitment data and records, and providing timely, accurate reporting and updates to stakeholders.
- Contributing ideas to continuously improve our emerging talent attraction and selection processes.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
- Previous experience in recruitment, preferably with a focus on early careers or volume hiring.
- A passion for supporting early careers development and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Confidence using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
- Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and ideally experience using data tools such as Power BI.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to working with others.
- A flexible, solutions-focused mindset and a strong attention to detail.
- A commitment to delivering a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
