UK falls in gender equality rankings

The UK has fallen six places in a global index of gender equality, according to the World Economic Foundation (WEF).

The Swiss-based organisation measures progress towards gender equality in four key areas: health, education, work and politics.

The UK has dropped from 15th to 21st place for gender equality. Experts predict that it would take 100 years to achieve gender parity.
