Government says they will miss apprenticeship target

Latest figures reveal that the government will miss its target of getting three million apprenticeship starts by 2020. 

Since the levy was introduced, the number of apprenticeships started by young people has continued to fall.

However, the number of starts for those aged 25 and over rose by 16% in the last year.
