60% of young people take on second jobs to meet costs of living

Nearly half (42%) of recent university graduates and current students have joined the gig economy, according to Milkround research.

The survey found that 22% had two jobs in addition to their full-time employment or studies.

Three fifths (60%) of young people said that they have a side hustle because the cost of living is too high for them to live off their main salary or student loan.
