Mentoring is essential to nurturing female ambition, report says

A survey of 2,000 senior decision makers from FTSE 350 companies found that firms who have over 30% women in leadership roles are more likely to foster ambition.

The research, conducted by YouGov for Vodafone, also found that 38% of female employees who have exposure to senior mentors in a gender diverse company believe they will make it to the board themselves.

The report recommends prioritising mentoring in an employee’s job description.
