Education & Employers launches new campaign to build 100,000+ volunteer network

Children's socio-economic background and their gender affect their career aspirations, according to new research conducted by the OECD in conjunction with Education and Employers.

Andreas Schleicher, the OECD's director of education and skills is backing Education and Employers' campaign to build a national network of 100,000 volunteers to give children a wider understanding of the world of work. 

The aim is to create a "light bulb moment" where pupils can hear from role models and think about their potential.
