Formal development needs to be higher up the agenda, survey suggests

According to research from Ashridge Executive Education at Hult International Business School, on-the-job learning may not be enough for young leaders.

Both junior and middle level employees cited formal development as the key to professional growth.

The research also suggests the development opportunities being offered to workers need to be tailored both in terms of seniority and gender.
