Top jobs dominated by Oxbridge graduates and privately educated

According to The Sutton Trust and the Social Mobility Commission, 39 per cent of people in top positions are privately educated, compared with 7% of the population.

The study, Elitist Britain, looked at the educational backgrounds of 5,000 leading figures in business, politics, media and creative industries. 

It found that 24% of those in top groups have gone to Oxbridge, while only 19% of the working population have been to any university at all.
