Students are turning to memes for mental health support

According to YouGov survey, more than a quarter of students (27%) report having a mental health problem, and young people often turn to online communities for emotional support. 

The Internet meme culture has addressed "some the biggest taboos of life under marketised education."

Katharine Swindells, Welfare Officer at the University of Sheffield Students' Union, says: 
"This is the comedy of a generation without much to laugh about."
