Impact of universities on social mobility

According to a research conducted by Sutton Trust, the UK is among the worst of the 37 OECD nations for income mobility. 

Justine Greening, former Secretary of State for Education, says universities should be recognised for their impact on people’s life chances.

"There is a much broader opportunity that universities are almost uniquely able to grasp, as they prepare our young people for the world of work", she said.
