Degree apprenticeships not delivering for SMEs

Tim Quine, deputy vice-chancellor (education) at the University of Exeter, says higher education institutions and the government should welcome HEC's analysis on degree apprenticeships and its recommendations. 

Findings released by the Higher Education Commission suggest that degree apprenticeships may be good in theory but they’re not delivering for small employers or disadvantaged students.

Quine: 'This will enable universities and industry to collaborate to support young and mature students to develop the skills that our economy will need post-Brexit and in the longer term.'
