Driverless cars: graduate skills shortage

Research reveals that enrolments onto driverless car degree courses and apprenticeships is growing by just 2% and 3.9% respectively each year in the UK. 

However, the industry predicts that jobs in this sector will grow annually by 9.6% from 2020. 

This indicates there will not be enough skilled young people to meet industry demands in the future. 

The research was conducted by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) and StreetDrone, an Oxford-based start-up.
