Many US graduates are underemployed - survey

US research reveals that graduates' first job after graduation has a big impact on future earnings. Taking a non-graduate role immediately after graduating can keep them in low-paid work for as long as ten years. 

The research was conducted by Burning Glass Technologies and the Strada Institute for the Future of Work.
