ISE Scotland and the North brings together employers, universities and suppliers from a variety of sectors to support the promotion of early career opportunities in Scotland and the North.
Quarterly meetings are organised by the steering group, as listed below, and all members based in Scotland and the North are very welcome to attend and contribute to the discussions.

Gary Anderson (Chair)
Gary Anderson is the Global Future Talent Program Manager for Jacobs and has been involved in Graduate Recruitment for the last 16 years. A Chartered member of CIPD he has been involved with ISE Scotland for the last 14 years. Responsible for Jacobs Graduate/Intern/Apprentice Programs across the Globe.
Kay Jones (Vice Chair)
Kay Jones has been Assistant Director (Business Engagement, Marketing & Events) at the Newcastle University Careers Service since September 2015 and has strategic responsibility for business engagement, student employment (including placements), marketing, events and communications. Kay has held a number of senior roles in Newcastle University over the past ten years, prior to which she worked in retail, recruitment and commercial sports & hospitality management.
Carla has been working in student recruitment for over 10 years and is currently Student Recruitment Manager at Hymans Robertson.
Her role oversees the graduate, intern, industrial placement and work experience programmes for all four of their offices across the UK.
Hymans is an independent consultancy who provide advice on pensions, risk, investment and insurance, as well as data and technology solutions to their clients.
Carla is also a passionate member of both their diversity and inclusion and wellbeing groups.
Lynne is an Assistant Manager within KPMG’s UK Student Recruitment team, responsible for graduate/undergraduate recruitment within Scotland and the North offices. Lynne’s role is dedicated to ensuring KPMG’s student recruitment programmes have a strong profile at target universities in this region and that KPMG’s recruitment process is leading within its industry.
Following ten years recruitment experience within the Scottish market place Lynne joined KPMG in 2013 to support the delivery of the UK wide recruitment strategy across a full range of student programmes from work experience and apprenticeships through to graduate roles and became a specialist for the Scottish market in 2015. Lynne’s role then expanded to include The North in May 2017.
Jeff Lovejoy has been working within the graduate recruitment market for the last 7 years beginning at Enterprise Rent A Car for London to Scotland and Northern Ireland to his current role with FDM Group as the UK & Ireland Recruitment Manager. FDM is the largest IT graduate recruiter in the UK. Jeff leads a team that recruits around 1000+ graduates per year; in 2016, they received over 55,000 applications in the UK alone. He is passionate about supporting graduates in their search for careers and speaks regularly on such topics as diversity and inclusion in technology, career advice and personal branding at conferences and events around the UK.
