Note from Simon:
I’m looking forward to meeting you all and facilitating at the ISE Special interest event.
I’m a practical, down to earth sort of person. I like conversations that help people feel more confident and fulfilled in their work and home lives.I live near Impact’s HQ in the English Lake District, a great place for adventures, the most recent of which was crewing on yacht trips to Scotland and Ireland.
Eager to be part of the crew, I volunteered for the role of cook and served freshly prepared meals in dog bowls, which are very practical at sea. My sailing skills are average but my kitchen skills in rough weather earned me an invitation to crew on a transatlantic voyage.
Adventure for me is a mindset, you can have one just about anywhere. Ask me about why I take my family every year to the "Worst Hotels Ever”.
15.00 - Refreshments and networking
15.20 - Knowledge Share session (peer-to-peer learning)
a) How do you support line managers to develop their staff?
b) How do you manage across graduate and apprentice cohorts? Are there issues of equity of treatment to consider?
c) What would you like us to include in the 2020 development survey?
15:50 - Ummara Wright, Business Development Manager, Bowles Learning & Development Centre
From Pret A Manger’s homeless apprentices to Vanquis Bank’s graduates leaving a lasting legacy for our young people – how two of Bowles experiential development programmes make a difference.
16.30 - Forum end
