Within this 2.5-hour session we will be covering some of the hottest issues for the retail/fmcg sector in the student recruitment industry with insight into the latest trends. This event will allow you to network amongst your peers and gain further insight into the challenges they are currently facing and how to overcome them.

 

Agenda

  • Tristram Hooley (Chief Research Office, ISE) will provide an update on the latest Development Survey (sector specific).
  • Round table discussion:

    - Increasing ‘equity’ ie. desirability of candidates overall and what the challenges are to this in the sector
    - Diversity in retail - how do you measure? 
    - Graduate programmes for the 2019 intake (reduced applications and quality, positions in 2019 – how many reneges to date)
    - Adjusting your attraction strategy with reduced budgets
    - Apprentice Levy – sharing approaches to apprentice levy; How is your organisation’s balance shifting between Graduates and Apprentices in relation to Early Careers?
    - Campaigns – university visits / presentations – what is working?
