  • Quality and understanding who has been approved by Ofsted and what the ratings mean
  • Understanding if training providers are set up for delivery of approved qualifications
  • Do any training providers sub-contract and how that might impact delivery and quality?
  • Payments and how that part works
  • Management information and reporting

Session 3 – Engaging with students / parents >

Engagement and the key decision-making points from Year 10 to Year 13: getting into the shoes of young people, navigating their options and parent engagement.

  • Know how to effectively connect, engage, inspire and students

Session 4 – Engaging with schools / colleges >

Panel session followed by Q&A

  • Understand the needs of schools, the challenges and pressures they face

Essential considerations for employers and providers when recruiting apprentices, and includes some illustrative case study examples of best practice

  • Employer motivations when choosing the apprenticeship route
  • The journey to travel and  examples of Ofsted’s approach in recent monitoring of  providers
  • The practicalities of recruiting apprentices
  • Understanding the key differentiators when recruiting  school leaver apprentices  compared to graduates
  • How to support applicants though the recruitment process
  • Options for  standardising and delivering  cost effective recruitment
