Raising awareness of higher and degree apprenticeships with UCAS

"What do students (and their influencers) think about apprenticeships?

UCAS is traditionally associated with applying for degree courses, but we’re also in the perfect position to help students understand what other higher education options are available. As the UK’s centralised admissions service, we help 700,000 students a year apply to university. But we’re also committed to supporting students and their influencers to better understand higher and degree apprenticeships, and if it’s the right option for them. We also connect our audience with employers and providers offering higher or degree apprenticeship opportunities.
Our research shows, most students start exploring their options at least a year before they take their next step. The information and advice they receive during this period is a critical factor in their decision-making. Our understanding of the student decision-making cycle, and our key role in supporting students through that process, means we are ideally placed to help employers increase awareness early, and recruit quality candidates.
This session is aimed at those looking to attract school and college leavers to their higher and degree apprenticeships. We’ll be sharing our insights and growing understanding of the market, and asking recruiters how we can help them connect with future cohorts of higher and degree apprentices."
